Is your high school prom dress, from 20 years ago, still in your closet?
Disney's Elsa would say, It's time to let it go! Declutter your clothing and make someone else's day.
Decluttering is an important part of the Alpha Cleaning Routine every month.
January's focus is on clothing. So for the next four weeks, we'll be going through all of our clothing: from tops and bottoms, to intimates and outerwear.
TOPS January 1 - 7
sleeveless, short sleeve, long sleeve, hoodies, sweaters, and dresses
BOTTOMS January 8 - 14
shorts, leggings, jeans, sweatpants, dress pants, skirts
INTIMATES January 15 - 21
bras, underwear, socks, lingerie, pajamas, swim suits
OUTERWEAR January 22 - 28
jackets, winter hats, winter scarfs, gloves, oven mitts, aprons
Each year, I am amazed at how much clothing I have accumulated.
Rather than dwelling on the money spent or being wasteful, I focus on the positives.
It feels exciting to keep my closet current, with room for new purchases.
It also feels good to donate the items I no longer wear to people who will wear them.
It's a win-win.
What's the easiest way to declutter your clothing?
Have an everything can go mindset. I move all the clothing in one category to a different spot. Then, I pick out my favorites and put them back. Whatever is leftover, I donate.
It makes decluttering quick and easy.
So grab some trash bags for your donations, and let's get decluttering!
